Gender identities

Cisgender - when one's gender identity matches their biological sex.

Transgender - when one's gender identity does not match their biological sex.

Non-binary - a person who does not identify as specifically male or female (outside the gender binary).

Transmasculine - an affiliation with the masculine side of the gender spectrum (recognise as masculine but not a binary male).

Transfeminine - an affiliation with the feminine side of the gender spectrum (recognise as feminine but not a binary female).

Cisgender male - when someone who's biological sex is male and recognises as male. 

Cisgender female - when someone who's biological sex is female and recognises as female.

Transgender male - when someone who's biological sex is not male but they recognise as a binary male.

Transgender female - when someone who's biological sex is not female but they recognise as female. 

FtM - Female to male

MtF - male to female 

Genderfluid - a person who's gender varies over time. 

Genderflux - umbrella term in which gender or one's perception of gender of their gender intensity varies over time. 

Maverique - characterised my autonomy and inner conviction regarding a sense of self. A gender that is entirely separate from masculinity or femininity but is not to be without or neutral of gender. Specific identity under the umbrella term aporagender.

Genderfaun - a form of genderfluidity that never encompasses femininity. 

Genderfaunet - a variation of genderfaun where one never identifies as a binary woman, but can identify as somewhat feminine. 

Demifaun - a variation of genderfaun where part of one's identity is genderfaun, the other is not. 

Faunflux - similar to genderfaun, where one's gender fluctuates but you don't feel any female or feminine genders. 

Genderfae - is a form of gender fluidity that never ecompasses masculinity.

Genderfaer - a form of genderfluidity that never encompasses being fully male or masculine.

Genderflor - a form of genderfluidity that never encompasses male, female, feminine or masculine genders.

Genderfloren - a form of genderfluidity that never encompasses being fully male or female.

Alexigender - a micro-label of genderfluid individuals where one knows there gender fluctuates but never knows in the moment what their gender is. 

Genderflorer - a form of genderfluidity where an individual is fluid only between genders which are not fully feminine or masculine.

Demiflorer - when an individual partly recognises as genderflorer.

Xenogender - an umbrella term for non-binary identities that cannot be described through words commonly used to describe human gender. 

Demifae - when a person only partially recognises as genderfae.

Girlflux - a form of genderfluidity when person's female gender fluctuates in intensity. 

Boyflux - a form of genderfluidity when person's male gender fluctuates in intensity. 

Enbyflux - a form of genderfluidity when person's non-binary gender fluctuates in intensity. 

Demiboy -  a person who only partially recognises as male. 

Demigirl - a person who only partially recognises as female. 

Demiandrogynous - a person who only partially recognises as androgynous. 

Demigender - when a person only partially identifies with the concept of gender.

Agender - when someone has no gender.

Androgynous - an identity that is simultaneously masculine and feminine, but not in equal proportion.

Pangender - when a person feel an infinite and vast majority of gender simultaneously.

Aporagender - a gender separate from male, female, or anything between , but still having a strong connection to gender.

Polygender - when a single individual experiences multiple, but not all, genders simultaneously or in varying degrees. 

Bigender - when a single individual experiences two genders simultaneously or in varying degrees.

Trigender - when a single individual experiences three genders simultaneously or in varying degrees. 

Genderqueer - when people have a queer or non-normative view of gender (any person of any identity can recognise as genderqueer). 

Gender expansive - when a person's identity or behaviour is broader than the commonly held definitions of gender or gender expression in one or more aspects of their life. 

Gender non-conforming 

Omnigender - similar to polygender but more specific. This is when an individual experiences most but not all genders.

Two-spirited - a term Native Americans use to describe those who fullfill the aspects of the 'third gender'.

Neurogender - the umbrella term for when one's gender is somehow linked to their mental health or a neurological condition.

Autigender - a neurogender where one's perception of their own or gender in general is affected by their autism. 

Affectugender - a neurogender where one's gender fluctuates with mood swings. 

Bordergender - a neurogender where a fluctuation in gender is experienced by those with borderline personality disorder (BPD). 

Caedogender - a neurogender where one's gender has been 'cut away' by a traumatic event (one's gender has been damaged by past trauma). 

Cloudgender - a neurogender where one's gender cannot be seen or relaised due to a depersonalisation disorder.

Foggender - a neurogender where one feels close to a particular gender, but this cannot be pinpointed due to brain fog. 

Gender questioning - where one is in the process of questioning their gender.

Neutrois - associated with a 'neutral' or 'null' gender. 

Third gender - a concept where individuals are categorised, either by themselves or society, as neither male or female. 

Intersex - people who are born with sex characteristics that do not fit the typical binary notions of male or female.
