OCD
OCD (short for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) is the act of performing rituals compulsively to stop something happening in your mind. When people say OCD, peoples' minds go immediately to 'clean-freaks' and cleaning, but there are different aspects of OCD which mean different things: compulsions, rituals and obsessions. OCD obsessions are characterised by anxiety driven urges or images that arise repeatedly, uninvited and persistently. OCD compulsions are the need to perform repetitive behaviours due to feelings of shame, fear or guilt.

- Contamination fears
- Causing harm to others my accident
- Causing harm to others on purpose

- Paedophilic desires (this is a rarity and is usually caused when OCD is combined with a number of other factors (such as genetics, hormonal imbalances and already existing mental illnesses)
- Religious obsessions
