Packing

Packing is the art of giving the illusion of a 'package' to seem more masculine looking. However, this is not just limited to transgender males, any male-aligned identity can pack to give the same illusion.

I have packed for years and to begin with I was not very good at it as I was more focused on size than reality. I began packing with a sock (as this is the most popular method) but it is very difficult to mould it around you when you are walking so it does look a little dodgy. This section will advise you on multiple methods of packing which won't cost too much money.

Packing For All Occasions

A packer can be used in virtually any situation, but you need to choose the right packer.

Packing while swimming:

Use a swimmer's jockstrap to harness your packer while swimming. This is waterproof, so it will protect it from water damage, and tight fitting, so it will keep it in place. You will want to use a larger packer if wearing speedos (to make it obvious you have a 'package') or a smaller one if wearing loose fitting trunks (it will still be visible but you won't have an unrealistic bulge).

Packing while running or cycling:

Use a jockstrap to harness your backer while exercising as it will keep it in place because there is nothing more embarrassing than it falling out in the middle of a workout. Many exercise clothing is tight and form fitting, so you will want to use a larger packer to make it more obvious - as biological male one's seem more obvious when exercising.

Packing to pass:

You must choose an appropriate size packer depending on what you're wearing. If you are wearing loose fitting, baggy clothes (such as tracksuit bottoms or elasticated shorts) wear a larger packer to make sure the illusion is there. If you are wearing tight fitting clothes (such as skinny jeans or denim shorts) choose a smaller packer so it doesn't feel/look uncomfortable or look artificial.

Standing Urinary Devices

Standing urinary devices (sometimes known as 'Pee Funnels') allow for upright urination when biologically female. They were originally invented to help when there are a lack of toilet facilities (such as on a road trip or camping) but are being utilised by many transgender individuals to ease dysphoria. Some are specialised and can be either inserted into or readily built in to packers to facilitate the full illusion.

The easiest way to access these, out or not, is to order them off Amazon. Simply search either 'Standing Urinary Devices' or 'Pee Funnel'. If you are out, you can order it to your own home; if not, order it to a friends.

The one that I highly recommend is the HydraMate Female Funnel (this is available on Amazon). It is small and lightweight (21g) as it is made of silicone, making it easy to hide in a pocket or such or around the house; it has the ability to fold in half so if you are not out you can easily hide it and take it away with you. It is a full tube so you don't have to worry about 'spillage' or 'leaking' onto your clothes or the floor and will give the full illusion and ease dysphoria (due to its shape and size).
